What's happening with these guys that have been signed for less than .50 or are being signed for less than .50?

My interpretation (and remember I am GOD here ) is that the min of $0.5 will apply to any FA. The min for guys drafted through the auction will remain at $0.1 (that being initial min bid). We are 2 weeks into the auction and already 432 players have been won--that probably represents about 1/3 the players available, so it is probably a bit unrealistic to change the min bid now. At this rate we should actually run out of players by the end of the auction anyway. Once the rookie draft is completed, we will be allowed to waive players not wanted (some will have to go simply because of cap space). Of those that are waived, some will most likely not get picked up, and so they, along with any rookies not drafted will become FA. As a FA, these players will be available at a min salary of $0.5. Remeber that once a player is waived there will be a 25% penalty for any player not picked up, with the only exceptions being players who retire or die before the 2013 starts.

So, did we decide that 125 years can be used for signing players?
If so, does that include Practice Squad as well?

Yes and yes--they just don't count toward the 50 player limit

Yes and yes--they just don't count toward the 50 player limit Thanks. Follow-up question. Why can't we waive player prior to the rookie draft? What's the reasoning? If you have it open with the draft concludes, it'll generate tons of movement prior to the rookie draft. If not, you're going to have TONS of forfeited draft picks. Many teams didn't budget properly. Is it their fault?? Yes. Should they be penalized for it?? Yes. Possible Solution: This draft is going to be done by the end of February. Have contract lengths locked by end of May and open up waivers prior to the rookie draft. What about making waivers costs up to 50% of remaining contract if a player is waived prior to the rookie draft? I just don't want to see tons of picks forfeited & have a boring draft. It could boil down to owners leaving.

I feel for your thoughts bro, definitely think we should move the waiver availability date forward before June 1

I agree that the date should push back. Me personally, I would like to do some research on rookies and make some decisions on needs and wants. Plus, GM's can release players they do not wish to keep on their team anymore, and gain some cap space.

I disagree, we have had the rule in place all the time and GMs may have made moves to jeopardise their teams future. I think we should leave it as it has been since the start of the league

I think we should leave it as it has been since the start of the league I understand what you're saying, but nobody is going to want to run a team that doesn't have a future. Quick way to lose a league. I'm fine on cap, so you're not going to break my heart. But I do wish to see the league continue. Just hike the penalty for waivers if a player is waived before the rookie draft.

Just hike the penalty for waivers if a player is waived before the rookie draft. Even though I'd be one of those that would be penalized for Waiving before the Rookie Draft, I do think that Cleveland has a good and valid option that is very possible to be successful for the league and fair for those that don't want a part of it.
